Terms of service
Last updated 27 August 2026
These terms govern use of Shield, operated by ATRONTECH CONSULTANTS LLP trading as Atronova. Connecting a Microsoft 365 tenant means accepting them.
What the service does
Shield reads configuration and usage metadata from a connected Microsoft 365 tenant and produces governance reports from it, on demand or on a schedule. It is a reporting tool. It does not change anything in your tenant and cannot be used to.
Who may connect a tenant
Only a person authorised by the organisation that owns the tenant, holding sufficient administrative rights to grant consent. By connecting one you confirm you have that authority.
What the reports are, and are not
Reports describe what Microsoft Graph returned at the time they ran. Each states the question it answers and, where its view is incomplete, says so on its own page. Several are explicit that they cannot see certain things — Exchange-managed distribution lists, item-level sharing below a library root, per-item sensitivity labels — because the underlying APIs do not expose them.
The reports are evidence to inform a decision, not the decision itself, and not legal or regulatory advice. Marking a finding resolved in Shield records your judgement; it does not change your tenant. If the underlying condition persists, the next run reopens it.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your Microsoft 365 credentials secure; Shield never holds them.
- Grant access only to people who should see your governance data.
- Do not attempt to access another organisation’s data, or to disrupt the service.
- Do not use the service to breach any law applicable to you.
Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. The service depends on Microsoft Graph, which throttles requests and occasionally fails; a report that cannot complete records the failure rather than presenting partial data as complete.
Fees
Fees, if any, are as separately agreed in writing. Where a trial is offered, it may be withdrawn or changed on notice.
Ending it
You may stop at any time by revoking consent in Microsoft Entra ID, which halts collection immediately, and by asking us to delete your organisation. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law, and will say why unless prevented from doing so.
Liability
The service is provided as it stands. To the extent the law allows, Atronova is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees paid in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction.
